SUMMER ENCHANTMENT
Eve Marsdon’s friends thought she’d gone crazy. First they couldn’t believe a schoolteacher from suburban Maryland had the grit to spend a summer in New York City studying sculpture. Then Eve announced that she’d been unable to find an apartment and would be living on a cabin cruiser called The Six Pack.
The Hudson River soon became a second home for Eve. The marina provided running water, electricity, and an assortment of boat-dwelling neighbors. Sitting on the deck of The Six Pack, Eve enjoyed the colors of each sunset — and the rippling muscles of the gorgeous man on the sailboat moored in the next slip. In his white T-shirt and faded jeans, Vic Adesso exuded a quiet strength that proved he was as at ease in the water as he was in a boardroom. And from the glimmer in his clear gray eyes, Eve could see that this was a man who pursued every aspect of life with the power and speed of a summer storm.
Soon whenever there was a sunset to share or a problem to solve, Vic was there, holding her, protecting her, kissing her with a fervent desire. But a man like Vic wouldn’t stay tied down to one woman for long. Would he pack up his boat and sail off on the first breeze of autumn?
