About the Book:
Frightened and lonely in the wilderness, Jinx, a shy Alaskan malamute, finds herself cast from her home and struggling to survive. A young black wolf, Llef, finds her and decides to bring her back to his pack. Chasing Shadows follows Jinx on a year-long adventure as she tries to find her place in a new pack, encountering the joys and challenges that wolves face every day: constant hunger, mountainous terrain, and the joyous camaraderie of pack life.
But life is not always rosy. Jinx discovers a terrifying secret beneath the pack’s cheerful exterior. Amidst the coming chaos, Jinx deals with an evil pack-mate, a tragedy that strikes at the bottom of her heart, and must single-handedly save the wolf family’s fate. Will she survive the horrible schemes that focus on seizing control of the pack and eliminating her? What will become of her newfound friends and pack mates? Will anyone survive one wolf’s plan to ruin their world?
